Antique American Candlestand

Circa late eighteenth or early nineteenth century, this charming stand has taken on a nice patina. The top has cut corners. The ball and ring turnings are well detailed. There is an iron brace added at the juncture of one leg and the shaft, and a wedge is added between the cleat and the top. The base of the shaft is notched. Splayed legs.
